I have been resisting, but it's wet windy and cold here today, and two young grandsons have just arrived wet and cold from school so it's on! Not for long I hope - just till everyone gets warmed up.

Our heating is on a thermostat, when it goes below a certain temperature, it comes on. Simple as. I refuse to freeze and be in pain just because the wrong month is showing on the calendar. Equally, if it's a really warm, sunny day in Feb., March or whatever, then the heating swiches off. Hurrah for modern technology

It's been peeing down here most of the day, and the wind has changed direction, so, yes, the heating went on for half an hour to take the chill off. It didn't help that Mr. G. and his Dad were here for a couple of hours, and so the door was open a lot of the time - I think they were both born in a field!

Not the heating (cos we don't have any) but did light the wood burner the other evening and that night it went down to 2C. Turned warm again now and having to throw off all the extras on the bed.Gardening requires a lot of water - most of it in the form of perspiration. Lou Erickson, critic and poetComment

I'm normally tight with the heating, but I have a cold and a sore throat, I got wet twice today, had to sit in wet shoes all day so ... the bladdy heating's gone on for an hour just until I can get in bed

not yet- extra layers and a hot water bottle when it gets a bit colder. (unfortunately, this house doesnt have a fireplace or woodburner, or i would probably light it in the evenings, as i would gather fallen logs throughout the year, thereby saving money) i didn't put the heating on until the week before christmas, for the previous 2 years. as i am trying to live as cheaply as possible!!! ( it was demmed cold last year, and we nearly gave in!!) i am hoping to keep it off 'til end of january this year. actually- i had a fan on the last few nights, because it was so-o-o stuffyComment
