When my dad died I used to see/sense him all the time for a year, then my mum died too and my dad disappeared the day after, leaving me with a feelign of contentment and wellbeing, contented at last. Does that count? I've seen a few other things as well over the years.

At work we have a very small office with three of us facing away from the door. One day a few years back we all turned around at the same time because a shadow passed the french door and the gravel crunched as though someone was outside. We'd all looked to see who was about to come through the door.... but nobody there or outside. Ok, could have been a bird or something, but strange that we all felt the need to turn around at the same moment. Our office is next to a churchyard

I've also smelt tobacco smoke in the same location on a few occasions. Nobody here smokes, let alone cigars or pipes. I learned later that the sensation of smell without an obvious source can be a sign of something 'paranormal' .... if you believe that kind of thing.

Ok here goes, I have had two seperate experiences quite a few timnes.

When I was 17 my folks moved to an old cottage in a little village, lovely old house about 200 years old. It need a lot of work so when we heard noise we thought it was setteling.

We discovered old bunk beams when we took off plaster and discovered it had been a work house for the old farm before becoming a manse.

My dad and I both heard noises without admitting to each other but when we did talk about we both thought it sounded like 3 marbles being droped on the floor one after another then rolling along the attick...where the kids slept. This continued foor some time and we assume we had a young casper getting annoyed with the work we were doing.

Some time later I got a fleeting glimps over my sholder in the hallway of a young man 20's touselled hair wearing a work shirt and had a weird sensation of tingles and dampness at the same time, this happened 3 times in the house.

Then one night about a week after the last sighting?? The animals all went really quite and very nervous all grouping together, we had some light go off things fly off the mantle piece, doors opening ( that had been closed!) an hour of mayhem then nothing to this day...............

This is true< i ahve not made anything up or expanded on what I saw or felt.

I have another to tell you about in the same street but outside if you want....

Interesting.. As a nurse I get to look after people near end of life. On many occasion the ill person has experienced long departed relatives present with them. They are not frightened but seem reassured by their experience. Is it to ease their passing???

Ohh, yes please, more of these stories!

Shirley - my dad, just before going really unconscious, was talking to his brother (who died about ten years before) and 'reliving' events from their childhood, he didnt know mum and me were there, then his arm went up into the air and his hand held onto something. Every time we pulled his arm back down to the bed it sprang up again - someone stronger than us holding onto him - he seemed happy enough so we left him. An hour later he was gone!

When I was a lot younger (around 10 I think), I used to get a feeling come over me that made my whole body feel really, really heavy. I used to get quite panicky about it, it used to happen quite often. Can't remember when it stopped.

There was another time, and I don't know if this counts, but when I was about 7 one of my aunts came over from Northern Ireland, and I was upstairs in bed. I used to have one of those model ships made of bones sat on my windowsill. I looked over, and saw a leprechaun sat on the top, cackling away and waving his hands about. I ran downstairs and actually picked my dad up (remember, I was only 7 at the time) and dragged him upstairs to see it because no-one would believe me. Needless to say, there was nothing there when we arrived.

Maybe not "paranormal" in the usual sense, but I still remember it to this day.

another patient I saw at home was a medium. She was happy to talk about what she saw etc. I could spend hours talking to her. She told me a name of a man and woman and said the man was not to be trusted and I was to tell the woman. Well the only name I knew was a one of my work collegues and her husband. He was having an affair. It all came to light and she later divorced. [She has remarried and is happily retired to wales.] Other nurses who visited saw the table move on it's own. It quite spooked some of them.

I once dreamt something just half an hour before it actually happened. Also i predicted the winning team, the score, and the minute of the game when the goal happened (never managed it since though!)

lol LJ. my son used 2 have an imaginary friend (as they do), thought nothing more of it, then he told me his friend ....'wasn't like us because he was in heaven....' he used to have conversations with him at night in bed and also in the day. he even told the nursery staff when he was there about this, they obviously pulled me in and told me what was said. that was a few years ago now, it stopped when i moved house, but he still mentions his friend now '...only he now tells me he was a ghost...' could write a book on what he has said, only don't thing there is enough room to post it on here lol
