    Any Postal Deliveries?

    We haven't seen a postie for three days now, although the roads are clear here. We're still waiting for a few late Christmas pressies, some ebay bargains and books ordered from Amazon. Maybe deliveries aren't getting to the sorting offices?

    Has anyone else missed out on post?

    Been waiting for an overnight parcel for two days - engine parts, unfortunately, so I'm having to take Mr. G to work at stoopid o'clock - ho hum!

    Roads are clear here, we've only had about an inch, but the parts are coming from Derbyshire

      We had a delivery this morning. But generally speaking the postal service has been terrible, even before the snow started.

          We had a letter arrive today but generally it's been rubbish. Also waiting on an overdue Amazon delivery.

            I got two parcels from Amazon yesterday, both on time (one early I think) and some post.

            I've had three seed catalogues this week too.

              No problems, including some memory that I bought on Monday for the computer; arrived from Scotland today. Not bad for free postage

                  No post

                  No post since tuesday, and bins should have been done yesterday, but nothing.. Waiting for some e-bay bits, not so worried about the bills though!!!

                    According to a gentleman at our local RM depot; Yes, the deliveries have arrived at the depot. No, the roads are fine. The problems are the ungritted pavements and people's treacherous garden paths.

                    Apparently, this depot is letting the posties make up their own minds as to whether or not their rounds are safe to traverse. No idea when we'll ever see the postman now.........

                    We took our christmas tree down early so that the recycling wagon could take it on it's first after christmas collection. They did turn up, but they didn't take the tree.

                      We've had post and parcel deliveries as normal. Milk is getting later and later though!

                        Had Post as normal but none of the bins have been emptied, I'm so glad I recycle most of my waste.

                          Ok.....

                          .......our usual postie has a body to die for. Serious muscles that look great, tanned, in shorts and short-sleeved shirt. He hasn't turned up for three days.

                          However, Mrs Beasley, who's in her 80's, has just delivered the church newsletter

                            No post here for the past 3 days and no bin collection either. Nothing is able to get in or out of our road at the moment.

                              We have not had any post since last week, no buses since Tuesday (we are on the main bus route, mind you we are on a rather large hill which remains ungritted, so no traffic much at all.) and no bin collection.

                              Our post was always very haphazard anyway - one time turning up at 11.45 PM!!
