Default For All Cat Owners.....

Did you get woken up by your cat again this morning?
Mmm.... me an' all.

The reason, apart from the usual:
"I know you're fast asleep Mum, but I need a cuddle right now!"
"I guess the answer's No, Bu@@er Off, but Mum I'm HUNGRY!"

your cat was prolly trying to tell you that

Today is NATIONAL ANSWER YOUR CAT A QUESTION DAY.

Bet you didn't know THAT!

Ha Ha. Just like that here. I have two rather large Boxers and 2 cats, but its my 6 yr old tom cat, Puss who rules the roost. He takes no prisoners!

Dogs have owners, cats have staff - so true!

The felines declined our bed for Hazels this morning - much to her disgust!

Our two cats knock at the window every morning the minute they hear us moving around. If we don't let them in immediately they glare at us and BANG the window until we open the door.

Hi everyone!

I'm new to this site - only registered a few minutes ago and felt drawn to the cat chat. My beast (Riley) is all of the above... a loving, purring, ball of fur one minute and a hissing, spitting, ball of claws the next! Like all of you, I wouldn't be without him!

Hello and welcome to the vine bluebee.

On thread - Rex isn't allowed in the bedrooms as he leaves far too much orange fluff behind (I never knew cats could moult as much as he does) but as soon as I am up he is tripping me up on the stairs for me to let him out. Wish he would realise that if he got out of the way I would get down the stairs quicker!

hi cat lovers and hi bluebee,

sorry to dampen the sprit but just to let you know my cat, die on sat in not in a very nice way.

He was 16 yes I know he was old for a cat and I had only taken him to the vet that morning as over christmas he didnt want to go out much so got him a toilet box, and had started to only lick the gravy of the food from the packets so had started to give him mackrel and chicken which he enjoyed, he also seemed to stop looking after himself and didnit clean himself much.

I put it down to his age, but took him to the vet to see if there was anything else I could do. the vet gave him a injection to perk him up a bit and asked me to bring him back for a blood test in the week as he couldnt see anything visabley wrong with him.

Came back from the vets he wasnt very happy about being in the cat box and as soon as I let him out he wanted to go out side. So I let him, that afternoon heard some noise outside the front of the house looked up to see some children on the pavement outside and didnt think too much of it..... then the noise got much louder looked up to see the children about 4 or 5 boys ageds about 12 in my front garden, jumped up to see what was going on. Saw the boys pulling an unleashed staff off my cat, ran shouted for other half got outside he was in a bad way and passed away about 15 mins later.

oh Percy......
I typed something meaningful, and then it didn't sound right, so I deleted it, and honestly, I cannot find the right words now, I'm so, so very sorry...

Oh Percy, don't know what to say. After having him for so long, he's not just a cat but a member of your family.
Hugs to you and yours.
Hope those little b@st@rds get theirs one day.

Oh Percy - that's awful.
Was the dog theirs??? Can you report the incident to the police - it might prevent it from happening to another poor animal.
I know it won't bring your cat back though.
My thoughts are with you and your OH.

Thanks everyone for your kind words.

No didnt report it to the police, unfortunately by the time I have found my keys and unlocked the door the little blighters had picked up the dog and had run off nowhere to be seen. So unfortunately cant really report anything.
