  • Alan Romans

Hello everyone! Im fairly new to potato growing (this is my second season) and the company I usually buy my seed from (Alan Romans) no longer exists and just goes to another site that charges twice as much! Can anyone shed some light on this? Has Alan Romans been bought out? I had a great crop this year

      Hello.

His old address, which I had saved in my bookmarks ( Buy Seed Potatoes UK - Order Seed Potatoes Online | Thompson & Morgan ), is now some other company. He has also dropped off google search results.

Where's the best place to go now then?

        On the .co.uk it says:

You can still contact us at admin@alanromans.com if you have any questions about your order.
In the mean time, enjoy the summer and I hope you return to my site when we re-open in the Autumn.
        I'd drop them an email...

Now on T & Ms website
Alan Romans and Thompson & Morgan have now joined forces and will be working together to ensure that we bring our customers the best new potato varieties and quality potatoes.

Alan lives in Fife, Scotland, the heart of the UK seed potato production area, which allows him to keep a close eye on our seed potato crops for our customers.

Alan has a lifetime’s experience in the seed potato industry and an overwhelming enthusiasm for the humble spud.
                so now you know
