Being a bloke, an ex squaddie, and someone who has done loads of team sports, I have no issue at all with having group showers.
Where I am currently, though, such things are not done, and being the culturally aware kind of chap I am, I do take heed.
Went for a swim last night, and whilst getting changed, noticed that the custom seemed to be (after swimming) dry your self with shorts on, pop on a t-shirt, then ever so quickly, with your back to every one else, shorts off and remaining clothes on.
Finished my swim and went to get changed. A group of 6 or so locals were in, so I grasped the situation to show my cultural awareness. Dried off my top, t-shirt on, then turned my back, shorts off.... to sniggers behind me. Followed by coughed laughter. Put my trousers on and looked round, to see the entire group suddenly turn the other way.
I said goodbye and left the changing room, and before the door had even closed I could hear the belly laughs coming from inside.
It was only when I got back to my room, that I remembered that I have 2 tattoos, one on each cheek, that I had made a point of showing to the gathered throng.
Doh!!
