Advice Needed Re Outdoor Paint/Cravy Paving

Re - Crazy paving - just cover it in gravel or slate? Scrape out the joins and sow with herbs? Pave or deck over the top?
Re - Garage wall - dunno the name, sorry, but there is a sealant especially for that job, my Dad had the same problem last year. He's away at the mo, so can't ask him Remind me tomorrow!

Crazy paving......Weedkill with sodium chlorate, after a few weeks...rake out whatever dead weeds or loose 'pointing'(cement bit) from between paving that you can ..... borrow/hire/buy a jetwasher. clean the lot...allow to dry. Then buy kiln dried sand and mix with 20% cement (or a pre-prepared dry mix) and on a dry day sweep this into all the joints...the water residual in the ground will make it go off but if you like (advanced option)THE LIGHTEST MISTING!...(not washing the stuff out over the paving to stain it)...this will allow you to get a piece of copper plumbing pipe and run it up the joints to smooth the cement.

re garage......why is wall damp?...no DPC thus soaking up from ground? (requires injected silicone (hire stuff and not a DIY thing) ...how long ago was it painted....or is the 'waterproofer' causing the peeling?

In short though...any masonry paint should do the trick. just remove any loose paint with wire brush first....BUT...if a wall is constantly damp the only thing that works is a limewash but that is really quite an old method requiring experiance and removal of any modern plastic paint (I suspect that is what you have as it is 'peeling')

Should have said it's the outside garage wall! I'm gonna rub it down again then prime and repaint, watch this space.

On the crazy paving we do have a jet wash so will follow your advice.
