  • Aberglasney Gardens - Heritage Horticulture Skills Scheme

Just had this invite. I know its in Carmarthenshire and out of reach of many of you - but in case anyone is interested.....
    OPEN DAY AT ABERGLASNEY GARDENS
    23rd November 2012 10.30 – 15.00.

We would like to invite you to a Heritage Horticulture Skills Scheme open day at Aberglasney Gardens. The Heritage Lottery funded scheme provides training to improve the skill base of gardeners in heritage horticulture in Wales. The event takes place on the 23rd of November 2012 from 10.30 am until 3pm. The day will include numerous horticultural demonstrations by the current students, guided tours of the gardens and the chance for you to meet all the partner gardens involved. There will also be short presentations about the scheme and the partner gardens.
Admission to Aberglasney during November and December is 2 for the price of 1 *with the exception of the Winter Fair weekend – Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd December.
Entry is free to RHS members!!)

Shame its a Friday, I like Aberglasney, OH remembers it before the previous owners started to ransack it and sell off all its best bits. I would say though they have done a wonderful job of bringing it back to life.

What are the partner gardens then?
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.
