                The abbreviations used for online messages aren't the same as txtspk, just initials of common phrases. If you can refer to WTO, and WHO and all that stuff, IYSWIM isn't that complicated<g>
                Oh yes <g> is a grin, and can be 'qualified' as <eg> evil grin <WEG> wicked evil grin, <BG> big grin, etc.Capital letters optional there.

                Some fun with keyboard

                ô¿ô

                (_)? cup of tea
                c(_) cup of coffee

                        These are some expressions i have had to have explained to me by my 17 year old so i can understand what he is saying sometimes!
                        newb - new gamer
                        poned - killed straight away in a game
                        epic fail - totally stupid mistake
                        nub caik - total idiot
                        Whatever! It is like a whole new language, i really don't understand half he says to me anymore.

                          LOL is either "laugh out loud" which is relatively new, was originally "lots of laughter" but as they mean the same I will go with the flow.

                          ICMFP = I claim my five pound
                          GFAP = Going for a P
                          WTF = what the f£ck

                          I will think on, I know a lot more.

                          "It is neccessary to have wished for death in order to know how good it is to live" (also Alexandre Dumas)

                            The one I've still not managed to suss is ETA....now normally I'd think of it as Estimated time of Arrival...but in context doesn't fit!(can't off the top of my head think of any examples...but can anyone put me out of my misery!!)

                              I always thought LOL meant Lot of Love and it used to freak me out the fact that some people put it on emails until OH explained it could also mean Laugh out Loud, never heard it mean Lots of Laughter though.
