Default potato buckets

HI all

I have just purchased qty 3 large potato buckets they have 3 holes around the side am I supposed to drill holes in the bottom or not
many thanks in advance.

Hello Anthony, if your buckets have holes around the side you should be OK without drilling holes in the bottom. I always put holes around the sides as it makes it easier to see if water is getting right to the bottom when watering.

Holes around the side as opposed to the bottom give a little water reservoir for the plants!
