Default Do You Want To Be On TV?

The BBC are looking for first time vegetable growers to take part in a TV programme for BBC2. If you fancy being on TV get in touch with them by e mail at bbcveg@bbc.co.uk

I would imagine where people are based will play an important factor in who they are interested in. If the BBC is based in London they are not going to want to travel to Manchester every time they film and vice versa.
I must admit that I would never invite the BBC into play in my garden as I would spend too many sleepless nights worrying about whether or not my seed was germinating and how ugly I would really look on TV.
They say TV puts 10lb on you but I am sure that it brings out worry lines and stress points too

This is the email I got from them:

Quote:
Many thanks for emailing in reply to our appeal for veg growers.
The series is being filmed this year for transmission early 2007 and is going to be on BBC2. There are six x 30 minute programmes all dedicated to vegetable growing.
As part of the series we want to follow a 'veg virgin' from sowing seeds to harvesting, following the high and any lowlights.
However, we have decided to follow someone who is growing veg in a garden rather than an allotment.
It's from BBC Birmingham and I am in London. So I guess the distance is also an issue.

I tried this here is what I got back.

Many thanks for your email - you certainly sound like an experienced gardener.
For this series we want to follow complete veg novices and their veg experiences so I imagine you are over qualified!
Darn !!
