    yes 24 hours from now i will be waiting for the Mayor of the city of Derby to officially open our new allotment site.

    so why after all the work thats happened do i feel so nervous?

    the tents are ready the buffet is ordered
    the paths are laid
    the plots are marked
    the high planters are in
    the tree's have arrived

    why am i (mr loud about everything) sh@tt1ng myself.
    this will be a battle from the heart

    that just made me think of that scene in Carry on Girls where the Mayor of Fircombe opens the maternity ward at the local hospital and his wife wakes up all the babies ....

      good luck with everything ,do not worry,he is only another person going about his daily job,would recommend either a gloved hand for the shake,as you not know where it's been before

              Didn't someone once advise - "just imagine them on the toilet"? Then you can see them as a real person, and hopefully less scary!

              Good luck and I hope all your preparations pay off and all goes well.
              If the river hasn't reached the top of your step, DON'T PANIC!

                  I don't know - I've just run a day's training with teachers that I have worked with at their schools, and I still had a nightmare that my boss had rewritten my presentation without telling me and I woke up in a fever! And then stressed about the traffic all the way there.

                  If you weren't worried, then you should be worried - so it cancels itself out in a way.

                    Zaz is right, the old adrenaline is a good sign. You'll be fine, relax and if it does go pear shaped, laugh! Good luck with it all, let us know.

                        Good luck......can you post some photos of the opening of the site. Particularly your high planters and paths! Not of the mayor though thanks.......
