Default Just been perusing at Wyevale....

And they have in their Onion Sets, Shallots and Garlic.

And all the Christmas stuff.!!

Christmas Cards, Crackers and Calenders all on sale now.

Big display of Christmas trees and lights and other tacky plug-in moving illuminated reindeer being finished off as I type.

One can walk past Christmas displays with eyes averted but it's the background music I hate and all the chemical smells of so called pot pourri etc.

Anybody have instructions on making Holly Wreaths or when the best time is to pick them? I noticed one bush already has red berries on my walk to the store.

*notices the negative vibes in thread and backs out slowly while twitching as if to show signs of neurological disorder*

Marigold, I'd say you might be a bit early yet, as the holly will have withered away in 15.5 weeks.

But now is probably a good time to try and get nice bendy branches to make the basic framework for a wreath to add sprays of holly to in a couple of months time.

I haven't noticed any displays over here yet (although someone told me that the display is out in the shop my FIL works in, so I must ask him to get me a small fake tree when he gets back from his summer hols - which I am going to put in the holiday house we are renting for Christmas!!).

I love the Christmas prep and am well started myself, but I am another person who really hates to see the commercial bits of Christmas in the stores this early.
