  • 20 wk scan

20 wk scan yesterday, all is well with sprout, s/hes very shy though, really doesnt like the sonagraph, we have pictures of its bum. just like the last scan! lol. when they tried to listen to its heart beat a week or so ago when I was quite ill it kept flipping away from the sonograph, it really doesnt like being disturbed.
Its good to know that all's well, still havn't got the house finished though or any names, and we're half way now.

Lovely that it all went well. I had a camera shy one with no2 and we had to keep going off on walks to make him move about. Took hours and they still didn't get all they really wanted.
Did you find out the flavour?

Cool - know how you feel about getting things ready - Bean is 25 minus weeks old today and we've only just about thought of names. Hoping to get the polka dots painted in the nursery this weekend...

Bean was quite shy at first - the sonographer dude had to give them a little shove to get them to move round a bit (at which point I nearly got off my chair to lump the dude for being that way to my little Bean - plus LW was dying to pee at that point).

Glad everything's going well - it's great seeing them though isn't it?

        You doing the 4-D scan?

Didnt ask for the flavor, I think I would be more bothered with our second, with this one I'm looking forward to the surprise, I cant bear the coulor pink so it wont make too much difference anyway, it will have toy tractors and castles whatever the flavor.

Really looking forward to the nesting urge, cant wait to be motivated to do house work. lol.

not doing the 4d scan, firstly because £200 will pay for sprouts room plastered and I think thats more important, and also I cant help feeling that its all a bit invasive, sprout really doesnt like having its picture taken and I think we'll leave it in peace now.

they got everything they needed at this scan even though I had to keep getting up and moving around and she pushed the thing into my tummy so hard it hurt, but thats it now I think baby deserves to be left in peace to get on with growing big and strong, (not too big though sprout if your listening!)

Chuffed for you that all is as it should be. And quite right too (IMHO) for not wanting to know flavour.
All parents say and mean it, but my kids being born were truly the most momentous moments of my life, and the flavour meant nothing. I still remember vividly picking each one of them up in their first moments of life (blubbing like a small child myself of course) and it was only when the midwife actually told me boy/girl that I was even bothered.
Best of luck for the remaing 20 odd weeks, and then it really starts.
