did not think i would say that but after 9-10 days of sun the ground was very dry.not a lot of rain just enough to dampen the soil .

I've just used the last of the water in my water butts, yet just last weekend I was complaining about the puddles in the bottom of my greenhouse. Need a pretty good downpour to refill, or I'll need to use the tap

I resorted to filling up my 4 butts yesterday with the hose... i'm planting out a lot this weekend and need some H2O.

At least filling the butts means every drop will be used, unlike my neighbour who still washes his people carrier every Friday evening without fail.

My water butt is empty too I'm still waiting for the big tank I paid for (6 months ago) to arrive, and there are no taps on our allotments. There is one communal tank in the middle of the site, once that is empty I'll be taking containers of water from home to water my tomatoes etc in the greenhouse.
However, when this happened last year & I was moaning about a lack of water, it started raining & didn't stop for about 3 months. So I'd just like to say, very loudly, I DON'T WANT IT TO RAIN!!!!

No water on our site. I'll settle for rain through the night and dry in the day.

had about an hour this morning just enough to settle the dust .no water at our plot either but one of the houses beside us has an outside tap so this owner lets us fill up our water butts.which sadly i've had to do .

We have lots of water troughs on our site all linked to a pipe that automaticaly fills up when you take water out. I also have a water butt not yet connected to shed but it doesnt have a lid so when it rains the water goes in.
Also a stream at the back of my plot.
