From the Quintin Crisp school of cleaning?

There is no need to do any housework at all. After the first four years the dirt doesn't get any worse.

Hi TonyF. Your oaklets are growing nice new leaves now - not that they lost any over winter

Evening Shirl, good to hear, know anybody who might want another 2000 small oaklets?

Hope Im not being too personal, but hope everything is hunky dory for you all in the madmax and shirley household now that max has moved back home. I caught a couple of your posts, but Im sure that youve all made the right decision. We only live on this earth once and we need to make sure we make the most of every minute.

Not being too personal at all Bernie - nosy is more like it

We had some teething troubles - after all, it has been a while since we all had to rub along together for any length of time in our own home (have lived together abroad a few times) and it was tricky for Madmax to fit into the home routine. Getting there now and I am now finding I have time to come on the vine again after a few weeks where I just didn't get a chance. He has spent the day helping me in the garden and at the end said it was very rewarding to look at what we achieved.

I used to be! Unfortunately, I don't think Quintin experienced just how much mess four small children can make

Shirley, it's so lovely to hear you and MM are getting it together (so to speak!).

Dunno that these qualify as saplings Terry, I got a lovely bunch of acorns each with a couple of leafs. I now have 3 mini oak trees, about 6 inches tall - one a perfect bonsai specimen as it has loads of branches! Might even move it into a bonsai dish thingy and give it a go.

also had fun mowing the grass (OH) while i raked it up. First time we've mowed it this year so loads of it yuck!

hope everyone's having a nice evening

Ahh... maybe not!

I've put together a package of hawthorn, walnut, holly and sycamore saplings from around my garden which I must package and post tomorrow - but most of the saplings are in their second year and are between 1 and 2 foot tall.
