Default Anyone else a golf widow?

If you havent noticed its "the masters" (as my OH tells me) on the TV at the moment........all I know is the TV channel is permanently on golf. Have any other grapes experienced this? as soon as i leave the room this happens.... very strange! What are non golf grapes doing during this period? Bernie aka DDL

My mum was a golf widow. Dad would play at every available opportunity and would only organize holidays near a decent course. They divorced years ago though and now, although mum is an obsessive watcher of all sport - although she's never actually done any since leaving school more than 50 years ago - the one thing she won't watch is golf. So I can phone Mum without worry for however long this thing lasts - normally she's most irate if I phone during some 'important' game or whatever and she can't understand that I'm completely unaware that it's happening, and care even less.

Golf - a good walk spoiled.

Yes, it's on our telly too. Better than darts though, which is what we got a few weeks ago. How come only sport is on the TV at the weekend anyway? Or is that just our TV?

To be fair, I like watching darts. We used to have Sky TV before we thought it was too much £ each month - but the TV had a strange problem - everytime I left the room the TV would "automatically" change to the sports channels.....mind you, when I came back into the room it would change back again to the cookery channels! LOL! We haven't had Sky for months - and do you know, I've never missed it!
