Default PS... did I tell you my latest news?

Hi everyone!

I know Ive been popping onto the vine over the last couple of weeks, but what I havent had chance to tell you is my latest job news!
Yep, MORE job news from the DDL camp.

You all gave me excellent advice re:makeup and jobs etc in my last post, but wait until you read this:

I nipped into my local garage to get my car checked over to find that Marylin the receptionist of 20+ years had retired and a new lass had taken over.
At this point I had been at Morrisons for 5 weeks and really enjoying the job (hard work I must admit, but very enjoyable even though).

I mentioned to Nick the chap who owns the garage that if Id known that Marylin had been retireing (sp?) I would have applied.

Couple of days later I had a phone call from Nick saying that he knew I was
enjoying my new job but would I consider working for him as the lady who had replaced Marylin had moved on.

................What a fantastic offer! I consider myself to be such a lucky person! I had been aware of Marylin's duties for ages and was always quite envious of her job, ie the admin bit plus the customer contact side, which I had been missing in my last job......needless to say, I handed my notice in at Morrisons - they were fantastic, and started my "new new" job a couple of weeks ago.

I'm really, really enjoying my "new" job - it's everything, and more that I ever imagined it would be.

I've regained my confidence and every day passes so quickly.

I would just like to say a HUGE thank you to you all for your help and support whilst I was job searching - you all boosted my confidence no end. I would also like to say that to those of you who are looking for a new job - keep trying, you never know what is around the corner!

Thanks everyone! Bernie aka DDL

Think of that doing a job you like.

The only good bit about my job is you walk in at 8 and it is so busy that when I decide to have lunch at 12 its already 4 and I go home.

thanks everyone, your comments mean a lot to me and yes, you are right, a good, happy working environment makes all the difference. Not that my last place of work was bad, its just that the customer contact, in my case, seems to make all the difference. Many thanks for your comments and support. Bernie
