That would be a great idea. Although I know dogs are very sensitive to high pitched noises we cant hear. It would be a devil if the cats stopped catching creatures because of the sound emitting from its collar and instead the dogs got a good moggy meal.

Amazingly he'll be fine! The damage was caused by a local feral or semi tame brute - flamin pest attacked me too!

Tetchy.... what a lovely word.... describes him perfectly!

He's a soppy whatsit usually.

To head back to the origin of the thread - my mogs are useless at catching anything - had two mice in the hens food storage locker - lifted all the drums out, put the cat in... and he sits and watches the mice climb out!

Poor boy! I can imagine I'd be a wee bit narked if I'd a gash like that in my side!

My old cat was rubbish at catching things - he was an indoor cat, and watched spiders with utter fascination. Flying beasts were the ones he wanted to catch - never grew the wings to manage it, and headbutted many a window trying.

These are my two, unusual piccie in that they're pretty close, normally the fluffy ginger and white one gives the tabby a good clout to keep her in check!

just seen pic of cat - looks soooo much like my mink but I'm guessing your's is all there - mink was born without a hip on the his leftside so he kinda goes paw paw paw flop; paw paw paw flop etc etc - but when we kept chucks he was the best ratter we've ever had - guess he lulled the vermin into a false sense of security.

Geo, this has quite upset me, it's almost like bullying because I had a different opinion to others on a separate thread and decided to act on it.

I thought Grapes encouraged everyone opinions. Maybe you only encourage those opinions that are the same as the crowds.

Piski I love it. The bird poo is supposed to be lucky so go and do the lottery! As for ginger, he's the double of my old long haired whites boyfrind. Yes they were happily gay guys for nearly 20years and not a hair ball passed between them!!

Oh help!We are going to a cat sanctuary tomorrow to pick our first cat. I'd sort of put the killing of creatures out of my mind with the desire for a cute kittie to cuddle.Do they all do that? But I suppose nature can be cruel and too them it's just natural. Can I request one that just loves to watch nature not eat it?
