Yes, Happy New Year, DDL, and may we all have better growing conditions, ie a lot dryer than last year, and a bit wetter than the year before, ie perfect growing conditions.

I'm off out for dinner with chums in half an hour or so.

So, just wishing all the other grapies on this site a happy, healthy and prosperous 2008, without the blights, rots and excess water that this year seems to have visited on us all.

Without tongue in cheek, peace and prosperity to everybody in our little on-line community, quite often coming in here and seeing other gardeners - real gardeners, not instant or fad gardeners - especially those who, like me can get a bit isolated in France are up to, to get inspiration from and have a good laugh with but never to laugh at.

And to the newbies, we were all newbies once upon a time, welcome and stick at it - even when you get thoroughly pissed off with things not going right, remember there are people elsewhere in the world a lot worse off than you are and the rest of us are always here to give to help, support and advice.

Bonne Annee a tous!

Oh Poor, Poor you. Actually, I DO believe you have Actual Flu otherwise Wellie wouldn't be answering the constant bell ringing

Take care Matey and do try not to give it to Wellie. I TRULY wish you both the very bestest 2008 with everything you wish (and more) coming true.

Cooked brekie - the best thing for flu imho - well that, and copious amounts of hot toddy
