Default Cracking Heroes series

Been so intrigued (& addicted) by this series since it started and it finally ended today with a cracking end. How I've always hated that blatantly brash
hooray-American type movie 'Independence Day' that this kind of American series improves on, perhaps an afterthought from 9/11?? Hope I'm not the only one watching it but just had to babble on about it .

Me too!!

So which superpower would you ask for then????
Can't decide between time travel and the ability to eat and drink without getting
fat or more than merry!!
Or...to be able to work hard on the lottie and the poor old muscles and joints telling me when to stop!
Or to be able to speak and understand any language... ( well ..English would be a start..where's that spell-check???)

I loved it too,

Feeling a bit "deflated" now - no, not that much, I'm not quite that sad! Just thinking of what to do on Wednesday nights now, erm how do you make a patchwork jacket then Flum

Seriously though, it had us glued to the TV and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I haven't ever watched a TV series before that gave me goose bumps every week.

Roll on the next season.

Watched it all on the SciFi channel earlier this year and then again on BBC2. Thought that the last few minutes of the series were the weakest of the whole series tho, bit of a let down after such a brill build up. A few friends have down loaded the next series off t'internet and say that it's more hit and miss, one brill episode followed by an average one. It'll be on BBC2 next year so you can find out yourselves but be warned it's a short series due to the writer's strike over there.

As to which power??? Hmm, I think the flying. I am one of those weird people who likes the sensation of falling (don't ask!!!) so that would be really cool.

I loved 'Heroes' too. I didn't think I would when it first started but I really enjoyed it especially 'Hiro'. I've heard that the second series hasn't been received as well & even that the creator Tim Kring has apologised that the writing doesn't appear to be as good but that often happens with series that take off & then follow ups are rushed out if the first one is successful.I'm looking forward to it though & will give it a try. Not sure about the superpower I'd want, I always wanted to fly when I was small, was forever jumping off walls & flapping my arms!

You start by making the fabric! Pieces of fabric cut and pieced together into 6" strips then stitched onto a foundation fabric. When it's all done you cut out the pattern pieces from it then make up the jacket and lining as usual. I realise you are probably just being polite - and everyone else is skipping this (apart from Two Sheds mebbe) but I'll put a pic on when I've finished!

Not at all! I've been wondering if the beautiful coat you're wearing in the pic if you click your sig was handmade (I'm thinking yes!).

As for Heroes, I haven't watched any of it but I can't think when I last saw such a fuss about a tv prog (possible exception: Life On Mars)! I feel positively left out and will try to catch up via DVD!

I'm always up for a good recommendation from a fellow grape - but what programme was this ??? Don't watch TV routinely. so need something specific to recommend something in particular. Help ! Where can I see it, or has it been and gone.

Too late I'm afraid Alice, last episode was last night . I'm sure it will be on again soon - see one person here who won't mind watching the repeat.

I know it's not the sort of thng that everyone would enjoy but I, for one, thought it was fantastic. I'm sure you'll be one of the first to hear if it comes on again

Counting out Peter Petrelli as it's not fair to have all powers, I find time travel the most useful...for winning the lottie , be in any part of the world (Bora Bora beach, Mardi Gras, Queen rock concert, Machhu Picchu, Tokyo etc) whenever you fancy and still return home to your own bed.

Wed night won't be the same again without the 'Heroes' TV treat . Nevermind, Xmas is just round the corner.

I was a bit hesitant myself at first about watching 'Heroes' (in case it turned out to be some trashy hyped up stuffs) but you can sense quality in the first few series and you know you're safe (as opposed to being irritated silly with films like Independence Day). I agree that the follow up tends to suffer in quality as my DH complains 'The Simpsons' have kind of lost their magic touch. Still I'm sooooo looking forward to watching it next year or sooner if I can get my hands on....

Won't it be repeated next Wed or even this weekend? The BBC has been giving many opportunities for the viewers to catch up.

You missed 23 episodes ( I think) of 'Heroes' Alice!!!!!
You'd either love it or hate it.
It's bound to be repeated soon.
I think you can download it easily from the internet from certain sites.
Anyone know of any sites, or aren't you supposed to do that??

I know someone did that with 'Lost' series so presumably if one is determined...

Certainly is! Mr Flum thinks it looks like a dressing gown. Hrrumph! I, however, don't give a monkey's!
