I like being able to hear the whurrr of my bike tyres riding down a quiet country road. Doesn't happen much or last for long, as there is always traffic coming along, even on the remotest lanes.

Wind in the treetops,
waves on the beach gently lapping,
summer rain,
the sounds of a bonfire late at night in the woods,
logs cracking on a fire,
our dog when she's playing,
owls hooting late at night,
silence,
the stillness of a frosty night,
thunderstorms (especially when you are camping and safe in your dry tent, snug and able to watch and listen whilst in a warm, dry sleeping bag!)
the peace and quiet deep in the woods or that is found in many stone circles in the uk (if you are alone long enough to enjoy it(
the quiet of the lottie early in the morning or last thing at night!

The sound of the grandchildren going home - only kidding, I love them to bits but they do wear you out. It's lovely to hear them shouting all the way up the road "Bye Nanny, love you, see you soon".

The sound of a lawn mower.

It means somebody's working & I'm not doing it.
