We started to watch it, but switched off after 10-15 mins. That Mel woman is very annoying, but not so in other programmes. I think there was just too much of her last night - she's tolerable in small doses.

Completely agree, I loved her on the 'Supersizers eat...' with Giles Coren, but she grated on me last night. I also thought it was a strange vehicle for Hugh to be a regular on. I wasn't impressed and won't watch again. If I need a Hugh fix, I'll whip out my River Cottage DVDs.

I did enjoy it for many reasons (although OH informs me he won't be tuning in again).
1- Hugh tucking into the blitzed up food stuff and appearing to quite enjoy it despite the others saying it was minging!
2- James Martin for being so totally sleazy and cringeworthy. Loved it when he almost lost a finger!
3- Seeing Hugh whip his wet hair back a la timotei styleee
4- The chinese cook who didn't really appear to know what was going on
5- Ch Church for her amazing tan!
6- Ch Church for LOVING her local chinese restaurant so much!

I thought the presenter was funny when she wasn't scripted!

For anyone who missed it, like me, it's repeated 8:30PM on Friday on C4.
