  • Our new greenhouse...

After three weekends of working on it I finally finished our new mini greenhouse at the weekend (still have some polystyrene panels to pin on the back).

The original plan was to put a board over the bed, buy two flat pack little growhouses and put them on it. However, upon my wife's suggestion that I ask our plot neighbour the best way to do it he promptly said not to bother buying them and to build my own!

He gave me the timber I needed and I built the frame before ordering the polycarbonate panels online (made to measure) and hey presto we now have a mini greenhouse... and it's pretty warm inside

I've cut a couple of boards for shelves that can be added / removed as required.

Nice one! That won't blow way so easily as the flat-pack type do

        Thanks Bren and Sarah.

I'm hoping it doesn't blow away - it's secured pretty well and survived the strong winds we had on Saturday evening.

Looks good, did you hinge the roof so you could grow some toms.

No - that's far to complex for my limited DIY capabilities.

Internally we will plant into the bed which gives us around 1.75m growing height.
