  • Looking for a greenhouse, anyone know anywhere cheap?

    Hey everyone,
Im after a greenhouse with glass not p/carb preferably about 4x6. I've got £300 so around that mark would be brilliant.

    Anyone know of anywhere?

    Thanks guys.

I got mine off eBay, second hand. I've got two, both aluminium frame type, one is 12' x 10' and cost me about £200, and the other is 30' x 10' and was about £400

Freecycle or Freegle or Gumtree. I have 5 GHs and only bought one of them

I'm not absolutely sure where you live, but there are several GHs on Gumtree within 15 miles of Sunderland greenhouse in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear - Gumtree

I'm not sure that "Brand New" is easier than "Second hand". You would get proper instructions with a new one, but they can read like Double Dutch! If you take one down, take lots of photos, mark bits that you undo with a marker-pen and numbers on each side of the join, then at least you have a fighting change knowing what-went-where originally. But I would say it would be easier for folk to know DIY comes easily ...

Dunno if it would break the budget, but there are people who advertise services for dismantling and re-erecting greenhouses. More cost effective the bigger the greenhouse you buy I would have thought ... a small 6' x 8' is probably going to be the same price to dismantle, cart to the new location, and re-erect as a 12' x 10' or even bigger perhaps.

Greenhouses are never big enough! so if buying second hand worth using up the budget on the biggest you can afford, and can fit into your garden.

Well done. It looked great in the photos
Do you have the assembly instructions - or did you see it before it was dismantled?

What size is the glass? 2ft square is usually between £3-£5. I'm forever smashing panes

Best not look at the free GH though
