<< Thought I'd have a go and put together the garden obelisk that I bought last week from aldi for a tenner ....

It's not bad quality, and even I could understand the 'Instruction Manual' provided ...

Even managed to raid DH's tool stash to find the recommended spanner and screwdriver ...

So, this is as far as I can get - the last piece just doesn't seem to want to fit inside its matching part - needs a bit of brute strength which I seem to be lacking today ...
Going to have to bite the bullet and ask for help - and I so wanted to do this myself >>

Well done Susie! I've been thinking of making a wooden cold frame/grow house...just trying to find a plan of how to do it! I want to do it on my own too.

I can't see which piece is missing but yes sometimes you have to put some force behind it. If you are determined to do it yourself, remove the top ring & separate the top 4 sections, put the top 4 sections together along with the top then fasten it back to the ring section.:

Don't know if something like this is what you're looking for Jay:

You made a simple mistake. You need a Bigger hammer.
