  • Bright Yellow Pipe Insulation

I have 2 lengths of the above - it's quite thick and I was wondering if I could cut it up to put into the bottom of pots to help with water retention.

If not any ideas what to do with it.....

And stop thinking that as it is rude!

They use the yellow foam to stop people walking into scaffold poles.

What, you stuck for an idea, never in this world,

Lumpy, cut a bit of and put water on it,just to see if it will hold water, also try a strip to act as a wick to keep plants watered, but be aware, any roots will entwine into said foam,

Bren is a genius - it's the foamish stuff that the scaffolders have put on thier uprights.

I like the wick idea - Ta!

It does not seem to hold that much water though.

I am going to ask the scaffolders if I can have a couple of short poles and some connecting thingies for use next year.

another thing you could use it for is,a climbing pole, for say squash, cucumber, you will need to tie it to a support pole,it should hopefully provide somat to get the tendrils into,
just got another idea,if it is a rough foam, will it deter the slugs ext,id wraped aroun a bed, pots, growing vesels,

The foam has a smooth coating on the outside so is definately slug friendly

I would cut the right length of it to surround your christmas dinner plate, it will hold the gravy in and allow you to pile the plate high.

Surround you bicycle frame with it for added night vision.

Soft grip handle for your barrow, fork or hoe, plus making them easier to find.
