  • Astro turf needed

    Hi,
I need astro turf, or similar, for the inside of a poly tunnel at my allotments in Chorlton, Manchester.
The area of coverage is 50 square metres (5m x 10m) and may be offcuts.
Anyone with useful contacts or suggestions please get in touch.

I can't help but am curious why you want AstroTurf for your polytunnel, is it for path material? My MIL replaced the grass in front of her house with the stuff a few years ago. It looks OK but a bit too perfect for me. However, after dark, it's covered in slugs and snails, no idea if this is normal or why it happens but I'd be wary of using it near any crops in case the same happened.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

the little monsters hide underneith,i would have thought it would put them off, seeing how it's a bit rough, but no,we have it as some pathways at the plots,if you lift up the edges, you will see some,i highly recommend having a salt bath container and a pionty stick at the ready, also plants grow in it,not just weeds, the strawberry runners did, plus if you gonna get compost ext spilt onto it,the only way you will get it up it a good vacume,But i must stress !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, not the one from home, thats if you wish to carry on growing in there, unless only you to answer
Sorry if it has put you off the idea, but better you have second thoughts, than spend money,if it's purley for foot paths, then refere to my early words,i personaly have slabs on my inside spaces,it is easy to keeps clean, and when the weather is hot, spray them with water

              HUge range of colours.
At the Dig it festival last year in Manchester we looked at all the mad colours. Purple grass. I mean who'd want that ... OK hands up..
