    Virtual Show....question for Nicos

    Hi Nicos
    Having read the categories for the virtual show, I was wondering if we should have one for the best “Square Foot Garden” so many have taken this up thanks to Big Mallys coaching, it would seem a shame to ignore it…..what do you think?

    Go on......you know you want to....

    I know I could have PM'd you but thought you might have to succumb to a ground swell of pressure this way...

    Well,I shall put the idea to the other Mods, but I wonder how many people would be interested in entering?

        Seeing as were asking questions, how do you prove how high a sunflower is? if you photograph the whole plant with a tape measure down its length the camera has to so far away that you cant read the tape! Also I notice one year the winner was smaller than another one, voting seems a bit weird on a "The tallest or longest" category.

          I think it is like some of the other categories really, not all growers have chooks or grow garlic or have a scarecrow or grow flowers or grow pumpkins or grow in containers......need I go on?................good idea IMO.............

                        Good point Bill,how about a marked bamboo cane (I would suggest white electrical insulation tape as it will be clearly visible),the first four marks being 1 foot apart,with further markings at 6 inch intervals,if more than one cane is needed simply bind on additional canes & continue the markings.
