Default Just messing.....

The thing about having a blog is to take loads of photo's then you don't have to bore folks with words!! So I thought it was about time I retired the old 2meg camera that is 7 years old and up grade to it's newer big Bro.

Like all blokes I havn't read the distruction book yet but thought I'd have a play & see what the knobs & buttons do so here goes with a couple of piccies

just-messing-birch.jpg just-messing-clematis.jpg

Nice piccies, Nick. Do you have a macro facility? I have but didn't realise until eldest daughter showed me. It lets you take really good close-ups of individual flowers. Looks like you may have used that for your flower piccies.

Hi Rusty,

Yes it does have a Macro setting. The flower on this succulent is about 7mm across

But still trying to get the hang of it at the moment.

Yeah, me too. I need to use my glasses to read the instruction book, and now that they are in "easy to read" format they don't really tell you what you need to know. Main trouble however is that when I really want to use the camera it is never here. Apparently it is better than daughter's camera, so she borrows it!

Lovely photo's Nick. My Dad borrows my camera as it will fit in his pocket but doesn't leave his camera with me in the meantime. Just as well elder son took the picture of my silly chilli before Dad wanted the camera again!

Excellent stuff. Is that a nikon.

OH is a photographer and and has just bought the best little camera I have ever come across it's a panasonic LX2, is tiny has a great lens (made by Leika the best in the industry) and a really easy to use macro mode.

I usually have to tweak things in photoshop. in this case not a thing was done . I just uploaded it to my site as is.

I can't believe this camera only cost £200 of ebay. Tommy bought it for the landscape stuff which you can check out on his site at:

http://www.tommymartin.co.uk

You can see why I get little help in the garden

No it's a Fuji finepix S9600 Angie. My old one was a Fuji2800 ( 2mp) so it wsn't getting used as it was only the same as the mobile fone - better quality mind you but not as convenient, so I thought I'd treat myself to an early 50th birthday pressie

Thanks alice, blame dear old Geoff hamilton for that, I saw the cottage garden series and thought "I could do that" so did.

It's a tad OTT as it's made from 3" fenceposts & metal Sockets and 6" x 2" Tanalised

It is a stunner isn't it. There something about big & Blousey flowers like them. I think I'm going to move them though as I want to build a lean-to greenhouse onto the shed & use this just for propagating to allow more space in the other two - still haven't decided fully though
