First of many I hope cuddington.
There is something exciting about sowing seed & watching it grow. I like taking cuttings as well and always take loads more than I need. If I could win enough money to pay the mortgage off so all I needed was "pin money" my ideal job would be in charge of propagation at some mail order nursery. I could really put up with that

Nick, I have a friend who was a keen gardener. He did four years of day release to get his gardening qualifications. One of the years was spent in the plant nursery. From what I can gather, even though he was a keen gardener and keen on propagation he was as sick as a parrot by the years end.Originally posted by nick the grief View PostFirst of many I hope cuddington.

From what he told me, pottering on at home or lottie is a far cry from working in a production orientated regime where you have to get your quota of 'X' amount of thousands of plants pricked out to get your bonus!
Nose down and arse up was how he put it! He gave up his lottie after that as well!
I like you, enjoy propagation but don't think I could work at it full time!
Having said all that, I may be wrong, and maybe you have tried it before on a big scale!
If so, forget what I've said, and I hope you realize your dream!
Sorry if this sounds patronising, it's not meant to be, just a cautionary tale!My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
