Just pulled mine up, almost slung them straight in the compost bin! Have plaited them and hung them up though, they'll do for something or other.

Yours look great, mine were probably half the size !

Last year we had a excellent crop of garlic , this year we've had to rummage through and ended up with a bag of cloves in the freezer......a lot of them were going mouldy

          am jealous ........

I don't feed mine. I put them in nice and deep on 21st Sept and then leave them be until June. Maybe dig a few up in May as green garlic but that's it.

I've never fed garlic, I do the same as Zaz. You'll know it's ready Cadbury when the stems wither and flop, going yellowy/brown. Hope yours is good. Mine is plaited and hung.

Our garlic was only planted in the Spring so we didn't expect much. The proper corms we bought vanished (they'll probably reappear in the autumn), the ones that lasted through to harvest were those from a supermarket corm.

They might not be very big, but size for size it's a lot more than went into the ground, so we can't complain too much.
