It is great Bramble, here's some of what's already eaten and what's to come.

How lovely, Alice! Can't wait for my first courgette!

I'm scrutinising your brassica bed - are those red cabbage at the top? and if so, when do you expect to crop?

Yes Hazel, it's red cabbage but I don't expect it to crop for quite a while. The other cabbage is Protovoy which I'm growing to get little 2 person cabbages. They have hearted up well and I expect to be eating them before summer is over. Best of all, my caulies have little curds and I'm well pleased about that. I was a bit worried about the brassicas as I'm growing in a raised bed and thought it might not be firm enough for them, but absolutely no problems sp far. I'm just waiting to see how the sprouts get on.

Fine big potatoes Alice and good looking carrots. What variety are they?

Hello Jennie and Bramble. The carrots are Early Nantes, grown in a rose pot. I've got some in the ground, so waiting to see what they are like.

These came out of my four morrisons buckets with tatties in them - I decided to dig them out because the wind and rain had broken all the stems and turned them yellow.

Alice,
I'm all in favour of 'two person' cabbages!
Two-person sized veggies are well worth growing, and because they're 'havestable' that much sooner than full-grown ones, you get a quicker turnaround of valuable growing space.
I'm enjoying the photos of your crops very much, they look immaculately healthy. Woman after my own heart....

Thanks Wellie. I think I've said before I'm not interested in growing acres of stuff for the freezer. What I'm trying to do is get the best produce I can for 2 people, over as long a season as possible, out of the space available.
So far I'm quite happy with this years effort, but I think it is one of those things to build up year on year. I don't think I could do it without the help of the Grapes. Thanks everybody.
