Oh, yes, we have broad beans - not a patch on Bex's though!

Here's tonights Smug Trug which contains a turnip, rocket potatoes, broad beans, lettuce, beetroot (will use the leaves as I was clearly too impatient with regard to the root bit!), cherrybelle radish and that long thing is a garlic. I figured that with approx 100 plants on the go, I could spare one that's not quite ready yet!

LOL! Very good Trousers - although clearly not true - at least in the produce department

I only pulled that garlic coz Wellie said she did - and as regards having stuff already, Mrs D, I guess that at least some of that particularly optimistic Jan/Feb sowing outdoors did pay off!

Absolutely fabulous Hazel and Bex ! Wish there was a prize I could nominate you for. Just have to take my hat off to that. All I can say is - be proud.

DirtDobber, all I can say to you is no contest ! The prize is yours. What a whopper. Have you ever had radish like that before, or is this some kind of an abberation. Whichever, congratulations. What are you going to do with it ? Looks too good to eat. If it was mine I would want it gold plated.
Have you offered the pic to any gardening magazines. Might be worth a tenner. Look forward to more of your pics.

Got a whole row of them...some of them were the globes and some the long cylinders...I have been picking a few every day or so and after the last couple of rains they are crazy...I chopped them all added onion and made pickles of them....We love them that way...although my Dearly Beloved really likes them just as they come from the garden best of all...heck I grill them on the barbecue too...

What a lettuce, Mrs D! Or is Dobby just very very tiny.......? Cuc looks good too - and your radishes are pretty big - what variety are they?

Your pots do look brill DDL, and your scarecrow is more respectable than my Billy No Mates!
