We used to have a dalmation that we took for walks along the Forth and Clyde Canal. Unfortunately one weekend I took him about a week after the local angling club had emptied all their eel traps - week old decomposing eels and dogs do not mix. Drove home with head out the window and dog lived in garage for about a fortnight
