  • What is eating my daffodils?

    Hi
I have some tete a tete daffs growing at the bottom of my garden and am just wondering what is eating the flowers. The leaves are all still in tact. No slime trails, not near rabbits or the likes. The full size daffs seem to be untouched

Could it be frost wot killed them? I have lost some dwarf bulb heads this way; the bigger ones seem to survive because of their size.

I went to the allotment today to pick some daffs for the 'Visit of the MIL' tomorrow and quite a few of the flowers were holey. There were also quite a few small black beetles.....don't know what they were though - flea beetles???

I suppose it could be frost, hadn't thought of that. Would the heads completely disappear? Yuk don't like the sound of those beatles, will inspect the remaining flowers for holes tomorrow. Do you think it likely that wood pigeons have taken them off? Are they that precise that they could only take the heads off?
