  • What do you guys think of these, summer ideas.

What do you guys think of these? I think I might have a bash at doing one in the late spring. My front yard is terrible, its drab, bare just empty. Ive got a few climbers, and clematis for the north wall but looking for more insperation. I managed to get a 52/54 cm hanging basket so should be over flowing but I want more pot ideas if you guys have any pics

    Thanks

They look lovely, I wish my petunias would grow like that.

I usually grow a couple of hanging baskets of them, but halfway through the season they get greenfly on them and go all sticky, and then I get fed up and neglect them, so I end up outing them by August.

I'm going to give fuchsias a go in the baskets next year instead.

So beautiful, i love seeing them in massive hanging baskets and all the flowers cascade down. I cannot keep up with the watering here so apart from a few wall hanging pots i do knowing. But would love to.

You could try stacking pots, google it so really interesting ideas.

Yes I love, the look of those too, I have tried and failed to do this but I don't buy expensive plants so perhaps that's the problem? I have seen some stunning displays using surfinia, usually in hanging baskets though.

evs, you could always try trailing begonias, lots of colour self deadheading and minimum of watering which all helps when you are busy, or in my case forgetful. My aim for next year is to keep my hanging baskets flowering as long as possible, your baskits are large so will weigh quite a bit, so if you are hanging it up check that the chains are good and strong, or fix the basket on top of a post if possible.
Now off to watch the Doc.
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
