  • Triple plant ID request

I've got three plants on the new plot that I'd like help identifying

Plant 1 is on the bed I'm digging over which I'll finish when I get home after work on Thursday so any help in identifying it before then would be great. Its growing as a dome shape about 1 foot across

Plant 2 is at the base of the Pampas Grass. If it's anything decent I'd like to move it before I have a go at the grass. This is about a foot high and forming a clump about 2x3 feet - heading into the pampas

Plant 3 is also near the pampas. There's two separate clumps in the midst of hogweed and dandelions,

        No 2 ?

No 2 may well be Lords and Ladies now that I can see a complete leaf. Pull some up and see if it has a long white stem that goes underground (sort of blanched).

No 3, I'm going for the wild cornflower thing...........the name will come to me in a few days.

" - Could it be a clump of Arum lily, rather than wild Arum?

Yeah, I suppose it could be. The leaves are pretty similar, aren't they.

Plant 3, no idea the name but I think I've got some of that!

If its the same plant, it has a lovely blue flower, bees love it, slugs don't touch it and it needs no looking after even on my dry clay.

Ooh Cornflour - oh no wrong spelling

Thanks to both of you for the quick ID

Well I guess I'll be transplanting all three then.

Well, I'll see if it's the wild arum or the white arum lilly as I think it may be the latter (wasn't paying attention last year) - no signs of flower yet but I have some vague recollection of something white.

Snadger's still scouring the area for something that looks like a bottle brush.
