As you have them anyway, I would plant them and see what happens. Better than just throwing them away, and they won't keep for another season.

I've got a load that I bought for the garden I designed at work. The Autumn was just too wet, and then we've had constant snow until this weekend. I'm hoping to get them all in as soon as I'm back to work on 25th. If there are any bulbs that are squidgey or mouldy I'll throw them away, but everything else is going in the ground!!

Great. Nothing ventured, nothing gained as they say. Thanks for the advice :-)

I logged in to ask the same question.... we had flooding then severe frosts, then snow since November.
I'm gonna chance it this week hoping that the next cold-spell will be enough to trigger them.

If they need a cold spell to trigger them would time in the fridge before planting do the trick?
            Today's mistake is tomorrow's compost...
