  • T&M Hanging Basket Collection

Just received my hanging basket collection...little plug plants. Can anyone tell me, is it advisable to pot these on into 3 inch pots for a couple of weeks before planting into a basket and putting outside?

I'm interested in hearing what others have to say as my hanging basket collection is probably gonna arrive today as I was e mailed to say they were dispatched which was two days ago. Why don't suppliers add a simple note with delivery saying that are hardened off or they need to be hardened off etc.
I myself unless I hear otherwise are gonna put them straight into the baskets as there will be no more frost here where I am.

I don't know if it's a necessity but I did when I got my tiny inch square white geranium plugs, they did well quite quickly in 3" pots,I planted some out yesterday.

They do send instructions but it's generic. Think I will pot them on and gradually harden them off in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully they will do as well as yours JJ!

I would harden them off to be on the safe side!

I put mine in the hanging basket and hung it up in the greenhouse.

Jay, I would pot them on and keep them inside for a couple of weeks and once you put them into the baskets, again keep them inside for three four days before starting to harden off and don't worry and think its late putting them out as they will still be in flower later
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
