    Sweetpeas.

    Jwondering how everyones Sweetpeas are doing.Mine are already putting out tendrils.
    Is this normal at this time of year. I usually wait until early spring to sow them.

    And when your back stops aching,
    And your hands begin to harden.
    You will find yourself a partner,
    In the glory of the garden.

    I had poor germination on mine this year, but the ones that came up have grown quite strongly. I have nipped out the tops already and pinched off the few tendrils from the remaining leaves.

    They will be fine; from an autumn sowing you're just trying to develop really strong roots. For a cordon I'll pick the strongest sideshoot in the spring; otherwise I'll just let them spread out.

    I'll be sowing replacements in March for the ones that haven't come up.

      Thanks Martin, I thought they were getting ahead of themselves.
      I will pinch lot the growing tips and take off the tendrils.
