This is probably a really stupid question.....

But I have a couple of sunflowers planted by my DD and they are about 4 feet high, one has flowered, they are supposed to be giant ones, the flower is still only small atm, will they continue to grow up?

Otherwise she will be a bit disappointed after I promised they would get really tall.

are they still in pots? that will restrict them.

they need to be in open ground for really tall ones

They've been in the ground for ages. Since the start of May

Mine have been in the ground for about a month too. They are only about 2 foot tall and thin, but will soon get going now it's warmer
