  • Spring bulb help!

I found a box of mixed spring bulbs in the back of my shed. They nearly all had leaves on them!! Could I still put these in the ground now and will they flower?

I planted some bluebell bulbs last week which had started to shoot. I had meant to do it ages ago but it was too cold with frozen soil. I don't see why they shouldn't emerge and eventually flower, but maybe not this year.

Excellent, I found a bunch of bulbs in the shed on Saturday, I'll be doing the same then.

They'll catch up in the end - it may be a season down the line, but they'll do no good out of the ground, will they?

Thanks Flummery, I completely forgot about them but I think I will put them in tomorrow and see what happens. The tulip leaves are already about 6 inches long!!

            Me guilty to!
To my horror I found some ornamental onion bulbs a couple of years ago in May. I decided to plant them up anyway and they have flowered fine ever since.
I have just found some crocus bulbs in my shed and just planted them
in the lawm to fill out any gaps.
What can I say I have a lousy memory! I must make more notes!

Well I'm so relieved I'm not the only memory challenged person here. I have also now found some shallots from last year from the original package of sets. They were a bit squidgy and nasty so have binned them. Just wonder what else I might find?!
