  • Snap dragons and deadheading

Can anyone help me it is going to sound a very silly question, but how on earth do you deadhead snapdragons do you cut the flower stem or pull off all the little seed pods that follow the flower, i have loved the flower (which strangely came up where I thought I had sown lupins! ) and want it to last and last but im not altogether sure how to deadhead cant find how to do it in any books ive got, it just says deadhead to prolong flowering but not how!

Cut the flower stem. If you pick off the individual flowers or pods you will be left with an unsightly bare stem.

We don't deadhead them and they still last ages and that way they self seed for next year.
