| Hi Guys My new rose I planted last year is full of leaf and has 2 tiny flower buds, we are experiencing severe frost at the moment, should I put a sandwich bag over it or cut it off. Not quite sure what to do as its only February |

| No leave it. The frost may kill off the tops but all you'll need to do is cut back to an outward facing bud later one (when the risk of frost has gone .... about August ) If you cut them back now any more frost will just kill the top buds off so you'll end up with less bush.I never bother pruning mine till about April and i leave the old seed heads on for the birds and they are doing OK
