    Planting Peony

    Hi All,
    I bought a Peony root and was planning to plant on my allotment in my flower bed. Since they have lime, can I just dig a hole, add ericaceous compost and plant the root? Will that be ok?

    I'd just plant it. Nice and deep. We have limey soil and the peonies flourish.

      Thanks Flummery, but I thought Peonies should not be planted deep. Did you really mean deep?
