Thanks guys. Just one more question I will have to move it some time this year early next year. When is the best time to do it, and should I cut it back before I do .

It's lovely isn't it. I have large specimen in my garden. Short lived flowers but a real bee magnet.
Those lovely reddish chocolaty leaves are very attractive. You may need to prune it to keep it check but it's very robust.

With any deciduous shrub, it's best to wait till the leaves gave fallen and it is dormant. Get as big a rootball as you can. You could take cutting now as an insurance policy. The RHS link from VC describes it as a suckering shrub so you might be able to find suckers to pot up too.

Just noticed it's H7 which means it's hardy to below -20C......perfect for the back field then!
