  • Pink daffodils

My pink daffs are hardly pink...

I ordered these last year (can't remember from where, or what they're called to be honest), and I remember specifically that they were advertised as "pink", so I ordered them for LadyWayne.

Bit disappointed, but they still brighten the place up.

The only pink Daffs I have seen could hardly be called pink just a sort of washed out pinky/yellowly/white. Don't like them. Daffs are yellow in my book.

i read a book that belonged to my son, it has some really good ideas in about,
one was, if you core a beetroot like an apple and place the daff bulb in the middle of the beetroot, when it comes up the floowing year the daff will be red ?
not sure if it works, but i'll be trying that later in the year with my kids ..

Actually Wayne- I think that is a very beautiful daffodil! And a superb photo!!

            ...maybe not quite pink though

A few years ago I bought some expensive bulbs which were supposed to be salmon with a simple trumpet head and they were orangey yellow (ish)
Yours knock spots off mine Wayne!
            Lovely!

If they came from one of the suppliers I get sent catalogues from, I'm not surprised at the colour difference. Their use of colour is a bit over enthusiastic to say the least.
They also seem to be able to supply bright blue roses, which I'm sure noone has been able to breed to this vibrancy of colour.

As long as you stop my puppy from trampling my onions COMPLETELY flat I don't mind.

Seriously though, mind are exactly the same. Either the was a major muck up with the batches before and lots got the wrong thing, or I'm going a tad colour blind
