  • Lychnis coronaria-rose campion

I finally managed to find the name of the plant given to me by MIL last year. The plant was familiar to me for quite a long time but I never knew the name.
This is a perennial plant which is supposed to be grown in clumps-you can divide the clump to get some more plants or grow from seed as well.
I can't divide it-it's definitely 1 single plant and as for seeds-never had any last year and I never saw them being sold(unless I'm blind).
Has any of you grown that and if so,what I'm supposed to do to have more plants?
I'll try to post the picture although I'm rubbish at it(haven't worked it out yet)

I've grown Lychnis coronaria from seed in the past. Can you collect some seed from yours?

Mine has quite happily self seeded all over my allotment. I now can not get rid of it! I cut off the flowers last year when they had finished so I did not get any more plants.

It had a few flowers last year but never noticed any seed heads(otherwise I would have taken them). If it grows from seed why I couldn't see seeds for sale anywhere?

I didn't know the name until recently...
I know the plant,I wanted to have it and I was looking at the seeds and perennial plants in the catalogues but I've never seen it for sale-seeds or plants.
Last year we went to MIL and she had it in the pot so I asked her about the name. She didn't know either but gave me the plant
