  • Lupins started in modules?

I have chosen some gorgeous red lupin seeds 'Red flame' from Kings, to add a bold splash of red to but i have never grown lupins from seed. Is it ok to get them started early into modules?

I did mine in modules last year. Very successful: I had 1000s of seeds from the plants too, so I expect the whole garden will be full of lupins this summer

I grew some about 10 years ago in modules but then again I grow huge amounts of things in modules. Worked well as I remember, ended up giving loads of extra ones away to friends and family as they all did so well.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I have a cold frame full of adolecent lupin plants that started out in modules last year. Go for it. You should have very good results.

I often use modules for seeds big enough to grasp - lupin seeds are brill!
